Resources and Tools

You didn’t think you were on your own, did you?!

Schools Against Cancer offers many fundraising tools and resources to set our changemakers up for success.

A smiling older woman and young man pose outdoors, holding a colorful "Rockin' The Commons '23" frame. The woman flashes a peace sign in support of Bald for Bucks, and both wear glasses. Trees and buildings are visible in the background.
A group of students stand on a sandy lakeshore holding a yellow “World Cleanup Day” banner, raising litter pickers and hands, with an event sign nearby. The background shows water, trees, and a blue sky with clouds.
Six smiling young women wearing matching “Dig for a Cure” shirts stand behind tables covered with baked goods and treats in a gym, raising funds alongside Bald for Bucks to support cancer awareness and research.

Take the first steps to become a successful fundraiser!

3

Get to work

Type up emails and text messages with links to your fundraising page.

Personalize any emails or texts for important people in your life and have a generic version to send to everyone else.

Post on social media and tell your story. Don’t forget to include a photo!

Use some of our tools to print out signs and posters for school, work, local shops and community centers.

Always remember to check for responses and share the impact of where the funds go.

4

Say thank you!

Order note cards, send an email, send a text or make a phone call. Make sure your donors know how important their support is! When you thank them, ask them to spread the word.

A smiling child with a shaved head holds a colorful "THANK YOU" sign beneath a "Schools Against Cancer" logo, proudly supporting the Bald for Bucks campaign. The sign is decorated with a sun and small blue flowers.

Enjoy your event pack!

After you register, a coordinator will reach out to you to confirm your event information.

You will be sent a Schools Against Cancer Event Pack to help kickstart your fundraising and event promotion. Some materials include: posters, fliers, goal thermometer, event planning guide, notecards, stickers, wristbands, business cards and more! Use the posters and fliers around your school, or hang them up at your local coffee shop or library. Spread awareness of your fundraiser by handing out business cards, and wear your Changemaker goodies with pride!

Social media tools

Connect to Facebook

Facebook fundraising is the easiest way to meet your fundraising goal. On average, participants who use Facebook raise $180 more than those who don’t. If you don’t have a Facebook page, ask a parent, guardian or friend to post for you.

You can also post a link to your fundraising dashboard in an Instagram story or in your Instagram or TikTok bio.
