Fueling the next generation of cancer care

Funds raised by the Schools Against Cancer changemakers directly support critical cancer research and patient care programs at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, the first institution in the world to focus exclusively on cancer research.

Today, Roswell Park is one of the leading cancer facilities in the country. Its research has led to historic breakthroughs in the way cancer is understood, prevented and cured.

Roswell Park has been ranked “Exceptional” by the National Cancer Institute!

This emphasizes its leadership in quality patient care and cutting-edge cancer research. Only 4% of cancer centers hold comprehensive status.

Research with a global impact

Roswell Park has many researchers who bring their expertise to patients through innovative cancer therapies. The funds raised through Schools Against Cancer help researchers investigate new treatment options and facilitate clinical trials for both common and rare types of cancers.

Funds raised for Roswell Park are collected through the hospital’s nonprofit arm, the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation. The Roswell Park Alliance Foundation has earned a 4 out of 4 star rating for eight consecutive years by Charity Navigator, an independent charity evaluator. 

This is Charity Navigator’s highest seal of approval. This rating indicates that the Alliance Foundation adheres to sector best practices, exceeds industry standards and executes its mission in a financially efficient way.
